We finally decided to visit my wife's Auntie and Uncle's family in Brisbane, Australia.  They became extremely gracious hosts and not only housed and prepared food, but drove us around to see the sights and sounds of Brisbane.  Being lesser known than Sydney, we were pleasantly surprised on how beautiful and unique the city is.  Only having 3 days to explore, we made the most of it by experiencing a parakeet feeding, walking above the trees on a skywalk, strolling between an enormous pool/beach and river at South Bank, but most of all spending time with family.  Thank you for all the accomodations Auntie and Uncle!

You will see Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Glow Worm Caves, Pacific Fair Mall, Patina Restaurant, Skywalk, South Bank, and Surfer's Paradise.
