Visiting Fenghuang (Phoenix) Ancient City feels like stepping into a living Chinese watercolor painting, tucked along the banks of the Tuojiang River.  Wooden stilt houses lean gently over the water, their lanterns glowing gold at night and reflecting all the scattered stars below. As you wander through the narrow cobblestone lanes, you'll pass traditional Miao silver jewelry shops, local snack vendors, and cross over centuries old stone bridges with boatmen gliding by in slender wooden boats. Fenghuang is not a very known "touristy" spot and appreciate that I had the chance to visit this beautiful city!
