Avatar mountains!  Zhangjiajie lays the inspiration for the setting in the Avatar movie where towering sandstone pillars rise dramatically from the earth and disappear into the swirling clouds.  Inside the national park, winding trails and scenic cable cars reveal breathtaking viewpoints at every turn, especially from Tianzi Mountain where the sea of clouds rolls between peaks.  There is also the famous glass bridge over the canyon as you dare to walk over looking 300 meters below.  Or you may just zipline between peaks and slide all the way down! Zhangjiajie offers both an adventurous and surreal experience that is definitely not for the faint of heart.
