BEEF STEW

A hearty, savory slow cooker stew with potatoes, carrots, celery, broth, herbs and spices.  Can't go wrong with a stew!

Ingredients (serves 6-8)

Beef stew meat (1 1/2 lbs)
All purpose flour (1/4 cup)
Salt (1/2 tsp)
Pepper (1/2 tsp)
Garlic (2 clove minced)
Bay leaf (1)
Paprika (1 tsp)
Worchestershire sauce (1 tsp)
Onion (1 chopped)
Beef broth (1 cup)
Potatoes (3 chopped into 1" cubes)
Carrots (3 chopped)
Celery (2 chopped)
Sweet peas (1 can)
Tomatoes (2 chopped)

Find beef at any market already pre-cut for stew

Rinse it off a little with water and then dump it all into the crockpot.

In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika all together and mix it up.

Dump the dry mixture on the meat and being mixing it all together to coat up all the meat.  After mixing it all up, add the worshestershire sauce and bay leaf.

Add the chopped onions, potatoes, and carrots.

Add the can of peas.
Picture
And add the tomatoes and mix again!

Cover with lid and cook on low for 12 hours in the crockpot.

It should start smelling really good.  After cooking for 12 hours, taste it and add salt as necessary.

Serve with rice.  You can put the stew on top, or to the side, your choice!
