One of my favorite vacation spot is a hidden gem called Isla Mujeres, a small 4 mile long island off the coast of Cancun. It is definitely a more peaceful and relaxing alternative to Cancun, but just as beautiful. Best thing to do is rent a golf cart and drive around the whole island, stopping by the different stops to enjoy the beaches, animals, and food. And Cancun is a short ferry away!

You will see Mia Reef Resort, Tortugranja, Acantilado, Chichen Itza, a Cenote, and Xcaret.
