They call it Sin City for a reason. Most people see it as an adult playground - gluttony, greed, lust, envy, it's all here.  What they don't see is past the strip, it can be a great place to live. No traffic, no disasters, great food that's always open, everything is within an hour away, and there are always activities to do which change constantly.
