First year of Springfest right where I work at Boca Park. Fun and games and food and rides! Except the basketball game is rigged. Don't play that game.
One of the few Filipino restaurants here in Las Vegas. And on top of that, one of the best ones. Got off to a slow start however, as the coffee we ordered was cold, service was a little shaky, but soon picked up as I believe the waiter was new and still training. I think the manager of the store took over and was very nice and helpful in ordering the food. If you want large portions, come here. The lechon was pretty much the whole leg of a pig and delicious. The dishes were all flavored very well, and also had a selection of sauces for everything. The decor is modern/urban with a bar right in the center with a good selection of beer. Very clean and spacious inside, and also a karaoke/dance/live music area. Seems to still be a new restaurant but looks like it's picking up. Will definitely come back here with more people. Solid Filipino restaurant here in Las Vegas. Check it out at 2131 Rock Springs Dr.
6-4-17 Update - Went back and got some of the same foods and some new ones. Still delicious and the plates come in large proportions. I recently learned they were on "Dirty Dining" and some of the vegetable they used were not fresh. However, the seem to have cleaned up the act and I would still come back for more. Tinola soup was surprising as it is served green but tastes normal, maybe a bit on the bitter side. Lechon rolls Not sure about this restaurant yet. I will have to come back and try some other dishes. The reason I say that is there seems potential to be great, but there is just something off in everything I tried. The xiao long bao was steamed well, juicy inside, good amount of meat inside, but when dipped in their sauce, the flavor totally changed and didn't quite match. The squid ink fried rice was good, but was not able to taste the squid ink as much as I'd like. The beef rib noodle soup was very good, and unique as it came with a large rib instead of your usual cut up meats. But there was nothing particular special with the taste. From the dishes tried however, it definitely is authentic Chinese food, fancied up. All in all, good restaurant with a lot of menu options so I'll be back! Find it at 3400 S Jones Blvd Ste 16.
A tried, true, and trusty Japanese restaurant here in Las Vegas. My go to place when I want some rolls. The fish has always been fresh, price has always been good, service has always been accommodating. Nice laid back atmosphere, great service and recommendations, great location (for me) since it lies more west and away from the strip. This place is a hidden gem that can go unnoticed. However, once you find it, it's probably the best Japanese restaurant in the area. You'll see me here during happy hour! Find it at 3945 S Durango Dr, Ste A6, Las Vegas, NV 89147
Finally got my backyard done. Still working on a few things but at least the main parts are in. Still need some plants and lights. Will update when it's all completed and the plants start to bloom!
