Also testing out my new Sony Rx100 vii camera.
Newest addition, otocinclus catfish. These will hopefully get rid of some algae and diatom blooms im having. First to the quarantine tank though. Also just adopted a yoyo fish from a friend which hopefully will be compatible with everyone. We'll see what happens!
My discus has been laying eggs, but never been fertilized. They finally got it right and made some babies! Not sure what to do now, and most likely they'll be eaten. Hmm maybe I should start a side business...
Once they get more settled in, I'll take some pictures and make a video. They are exploring their new home for now.
Tank is coming along. I got some Amazon Swords in and Anubias. Driftwood from a local shop. Water is currently cycling. So far so good, can't wait to put some Discus in! My plecos are waiting for their new home, currently in a 20g tank below. The Anubias were letting out these bubbles called "pearling" at such an even rate I had to take a video. Very strange to see.
Uh oh, here we go again. I have a need for another tank, this time it's going to be a community tank with Discus, plecos and tetras. Also going to have a natural aquascape with driftwood and live plants. What have I got myself into...
My OB was too aggressive. He would dominate one side of the tank, while the other 24 cichlids were living in fear on the other side. I put him in isolation for 2 weeks, changing the hierarchy of the group. When I re-introduced him back in the arena as an outcast, he had to battle his way up the ladder again like a gladiator. This is a small glimpse of his legendary rise...again.
