Custom Aquadecor 3d background in, 2 Fx6 cannister filters in the cabinet, 2 Aqueon 250watt heaters hidden behind the rocks, White eco-complete Cichlid sand in place, water currently cycling. Can't wait to put the fish in!
Credit to Aquadecor for making a very realistic looking rock custom 3d background for me. Build time was a week, ship time about 2 weeks (international and had a little mix up with the post office) and finally arrived here a few days ago. It comes in 7 separate sections that fit together like a puzzle. I had to silicone each part to the back glass of the aquarium. Just waiting now for the silicone to cure before I add my substrate (white sand) and water and start cycling my tank. For those that don't know, cycling means I need to build up the beneficial bacteria before I can put fish in the tank. That will be another update when I start cycling. Thanks Aquadecor for an awesome background!
Mr. Chopstix is a hidden gem of a restaurant, very similar to the Noodle Man restaurant on Rainbow. Both from the outside, it seems like a fast food generic Chinese restaurant. But once you go inside, the clean, modern decor convinces you otherwise. With an open kitchen, you can be sure the dishes are clean. Only about a year old, they serve Taiwanese/Chinese food and have a wide variety of tasty authentic menu items. All the things I tried were very flavorful, delicious and heavy, but just a bit oily. Good and attentive service, pricing is fair, and they also serve boba! Will definitely come back here to try their other dishes.
5-30-17 Update - Came back here with my parents and they agreed this place is good. This time, we learned that about half the menu is catered towards American Chinese food, while the other half is more Chinese authentic. The side dishes are more authentic and would recommend trying those first. Grade still remains at an A-. |
