One of my favorite things to eat in the world is Chinese Hot Pot. And they finally built an all you can eat one here in Las Vegas called Red Pot. Basic principal is a boiling broth, you pick the flavor (I recommend at least one side doing the Mongolian), and grab a bunch of meats, seafood, and vegetables and start dumping them in. You also make your own sauce using the side bar with a bunch of different ingredients. I can tell you right now, this place is legit and the flavors are pretty spot on. The lamb was very good, however the beef was not. It may have just been a bad day for beef, but it was too dry and may have been old and sitting out too long. The shrimp and crabs were pretty fresh, and all the other ingredients seemed to be washed and well prepared. Oh, and did I mention they have many different noodles to choose from as well? Would have given it a solid A, except the beef wasn't as good as I'd like it to be. A big problem, however, is when all the ingredients are displayed in a plastic case, it makes it seem a bit unappealing. Only other con is the price is a bit high at $35 per person. However, you can usually get a 20% discount checking in on Yelp making it about $28. Wish it was closer to me! 1375 E Tropicana Ave.

If you're tired of eating American style burgers, come here. Every one of their Japanese flavored burgers have a distinct unique taste. A little more pricey than the average fast food joint but you are getting much more juicier burgers. Very laid back atmosphere with a TV and paintings on the walls. Oh yea, and when you order your food, they make you give them a funny name! If it was just a little cheaper, I'd probably go more often.
I arrived with high expectations as this fine dining is a famous French 1 star Michelin Award winning restaurant. It did not disappoint. Each dish was on the smaller side, but that is to be expected as there were more than 6 courses per person. The first thing that impressed me was the ability to watch them plate. Each plate had garnish that was meticulously hand placed to perfection. From individual parsley leaves to the dripping of sauces, it was all carefully organized to form a complete dish. Every bite was savory and flavorful, and not a single dish did not belong in the menu. A more casual atmosphere as compared with the more expensive Joel Robuchon nearby. Be prepared to shell out some cash though as it is definitely not cheap. Top notch service and food. A+
I can state for certain that Hobak is in my top 3 all time favorite Korean BBQ joints of all time. This place is NOT all you can eat, however, the amount of food you get is more than enough. The service is superb here; they will cook all the meats however crispy you want, and are always on top of changing the grill or refilling the banchan. The star of this restaurant are the marinated meats though. They are all so tender and juicy that you can taste just how premium they are. Free slushies in the front along with a really good ice cream sandwich included at the end, I give this place a solid A. Just talking about it makes me want to go back. Find it at 5808 Spring Mountain Rd. Ste 101.
If you don't mind a small wait time for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, this is the place to be. Always packed and slightly longer wait time for food, but once you get served, you will be delighted. Large portions, perfectly cooked eggs, good seasoning on potatoes, not much too complain about except for the slightly diluted coffee. Although they are always busy, the service was superb. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Outdoor and indoor seating, large and small tables, decent prices. Definitely recommended if you're craving some good old fashion breakfast food. Located 4533 W Sahara Ave #5.
Op, op, op, op, Oppa Gangnam Style! Korean style BBQ restaurant over at 4480 Paradise Rd in Las Vegas. Very similar to Gyu-Kaku (Japanese BBQ) in that you can order set meals for a specific amount of people, and choose whether you want it more veggie or meats dominant. Very generous portions and good service as the banchan (free small dishes) can be re-ordered like other Korean restaurants. Food quality was also excellent and every type of meat was delicious and different enough that it is worth it to try them all. However, I like the dipping sauces at Gyu-Kaku slightly better. Atmosphere was great with a large screen playing current Korean music and videos. Overall, I would definitely come back when I'm hungry!
Omoide Ramen is a restaurant serving ramen, rice bowls, and other Japanese foods. There are numerous ramen joints in Vegas and this one would probably rank in the middle for me. There are a few things going well for Omoide, like the decent portion size for the lunch special (Miso Tonkatsu pictured), Japanese decor inside, cleanliness, and good location as there aren't many other ramen places near there. However, the chasu bowl was a bit on the sweet side, the salad dressing a little bitter, and the ramen, well, wasn't spectacular. I mean, it was definitely good, but the noodles weren't as chewy as I wanted it to be, and the soup was tasty but did not have depth or any unique flavor that could make it special. However, if I'm craving some ramen and in the area, I would come back for a quick meal. It's located at 7745 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas. The Noodle Man! From the outside, it looks like a generic American-Chinese restaurant because of the cartoony logo. But once you go inside, you'll smell and see the authentic Schezwan style food that it really is. This place is legit. They have table seating and bar seating allowing you to see the cooks spin and pull the noodles freshly made inside the kitchen. The mongolian beef pancake was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and a very delicious appetizer that goes well with soy sauce and vinegar. The noodles and dumplings I ordered are numbingly spicy and tastes true to the Schezwan style. The noodles are chewy and in perfect consistency with the soup, but you may have to wait a bit for them to be made. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. Good location as well at 6870 S Rainbow Ste 101 right near the 215 freeway in Las Vegas.
China Mama is a Chinese restaurant located at 3420 S Jones Blvd in Las Vegas, right across the 168 market. Chinese food is all that I grew up on so it is difficult to impress me. I would say the food is tasty and authentic but nothing too special. The one thing I like is the portions are large! One bowl of noodle soup can easily feed 2. Another plus is they offer dao xiao mien or wide hand pulled noodles which, in my opinion, is better than regular thin noodles. They have a lot to choose from from Chinese pancakes and xiao long bao, to beef noodle soups and pork chops and rice. Pretty spacious and clean inside with semi-helpful staff. Prices are fair especially relative to the portion size. The fried pork was a bit greasy/soggy though. I'd probably come back once in a while, especially if I'm craving a lot of noodles in a large bowl of soup.
This place gets pretty busy during peak hours so be prepared to wait for a table. The menu is split into basically two categories, healthy (skinny), and not so healthy (fat). The pictures above are the ahi taco san, naked chix, and nice to greek you. The food has a very unique, delicious, and filling taste. In fact, every item on the menu seems very appetizing and makes you want to go for a second time. The atmosphere and service was great as well, with custom art on the walls, a large wooden table for a big party, even outlets with usb ports if you want to hang out with your laptop. Check them out at 8680 W Warm Springs Rd in Las Vegas.
